6 Signs You’re A Selfish Sewer

1. When invited to join Selfish Sewing Week and sew for yourself, you jump in without a moment’s hesitation. ssw logo final 350 px 2. You immediately clear your schedule – ignore messy house, overgrown garden and hungry children – and get stuck into sewing!

5. You take time to sew with RTW (ready-to-wear) details like French seams because your self-made clothes are investment pieces.

    1. Thanks Rachael! I bet you won’t stop after just one top though, these are addictive!

    1. Thank you so much Laia! I recommend this top, it’s so easy and quick to sew. Thanks for visiting my site and if you like my fabrics, you can sign up for my newsletter and get more tips and info about my fabric finds!

  1. I can’t believe you used your Missoni fabric! I don’t know that I could put scissors to a Missoni fabric. I love your Waterfall blouses, too. I just bought the pattern and can’t wait to make some. I need some light summer tops.

    1. Thanks Jill! I admit cutting into good fabric is scary but I’m getting better at it! This fabric was nightmarish to work with though. It’s so delicate, it disintegrated into nothing every time I touched it with the scissors! I forgot to include it in my post, but I distributed the gathering evenly across the yoke seam instead of concentrating it in the middle because mine isn’t a maternity top! Lots of luck with yours!
